Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) and the visiting Mt. Hebron Vikings (Ellicott City, MD), saw Long Reach's basketball squad wallop Mt. Hebron by a tally of 71-31.

With the victory, Long Reach improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Lightning travel to River Hill (Clarksville, MD) to play the Hawks in a Howard County challenge on Friday, January 6. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. River Hill won 60-58 in their recent league challenge against Oakland Mills (Columbia, MD)

Next up, the Vikings play the Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Mt. Hebron will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 45-26 league loss to South Carroll (Sykesville, MD).
