Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Sissonville Indians (Charleston, WV), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Midland Trail upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Patriots host Meadow Bridge (Meadow Bridge, WV) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Meadow Bridge lost 59-44 in their recent non-league bout against Summers County (Hinton, WV)

Next up, the Indians clash with the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) in a Cardinal bout, on Friday, January 6. Sissonville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 62-55 league win over Nicholas County (Summersville, WV).
