Oak Mountain Eagles (Birmingham, AL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Oxford Yellow Jackets (Oxford, AL), 85-66 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Oak Mountain upgrades its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Spain Park (Hoover, AL) to play the Jaguars in a 7A Area 6 bout on Friday, January 6. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 12-3.

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Gadsden City Titans (Gadsden, AL) in a 6A Area 13 bout, on Friday, January 13. Oxford will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record.
