Pequannock Golden Panthers (Pompton Plains, NJ) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Whippany Park Wildcats (Whippany, NJ), 60-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pequannock upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Golden Panthers host Hanover Park (East Hanover, NJ) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 4-2. Hanover Park lost 60-42 in their recent non-league bout against Morris Catholic (Denville, NJ)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Parsippany Redhawks (Parsippany, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - Independence bout, on Friday, January 6. Whippany Park will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
