In Wednesday's non-league outing, the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish (Akron, OH) basketball squad edged the visiting South Oak Cliff Bears (Dallas, TX), by a margin of 53-50.
The Fighting Irish (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA). The Monarchs go into the non-league outing with a 13-3 record. In their last outing, Mater Dei was tipped by St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA), 67-64, in a league outing.
