The Westmoreland Eagles (Montross, VA) basketball knocked off the host Sussex Central Tigers (Sussex, VA), 61-49 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Eagles (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Lancaster (Lancaster, VA). The Red Devils go into the Northern Neck test with a 7-0 record.

The Tigers now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech for a Tri-Rivers test on Monday, January 9. Sussex Central will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 73-24 non-league loss to Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA). The Dragons record now stands at 0-10.
