The Sterling Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Liberty Common Eagles to 28 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Tigers now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. Sterling will meet a Huskies team coming off a 68-65 non-league loss to University (Greeley, CO). The Huskies record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Liberty Common moves to 0-2 on the year. The Eagles host Berthoud (Berthoud, CO) to meet the Spartans in a non-league match on Friday, January 6. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 2-0. Berthoud won 54-33 in their recent non-league match against Brush (Brush, CO)
