The Pecatonica Vikings basketball team (Blanchardville, WI), was nudged 53-48 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Belmont Braves (Belmont, WI)
The Braves now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to River Ridge for a Six Rivers - West battle on Thursday, January 5. Belmont will battle a Timberwolves team coming off a 69-17 non-league win over Seneca (Seneca, WI). The Timberwolves record now stands at 5-3.
The Vikings (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Albany (Albany, WI). The Comets come into the Six Rivers - East battle with a 10-0 record. In their last battle, Albany edged Turner (Beloit, WI), 62-38, in a non-league battle.
