In their next game, the Mustangs face the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) in a 3A Conference 48 game, on Friday, January 6. East Rowan will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 8-5 record after their 57-44 non-league loss to Hough (Cornelius, NC).

With the defeat, West Stanly moves to 3-11 on the year. The Colts travel to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC) to confront the Yellow Jackets in a 2A/3A Conference 44 battle on Friday, January 6. The Yellow Jackets come into the battle with a record of 3-9. Forest Hills won 70-50 in their recent non-league battle against Central (Pageland, SC)
