Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights (Schenectady, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Fort Plain Hilltoppers (Fort Plain, NY), 56-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Golden Knights travel to Canajoharie (Canajoharie, NY) to clash with the Cougars in a Section 2 Western bout on Monday, January 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Canajoharie won 47-36 in their recent league bout against Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (St. Johnsville, NY)

Next up, the Hilltoppers clash with the Mayfield Panthers (Mayfield, NY) in a Section 2 Western bout, on Friday, January 6. Fort Plain will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 71-39 league win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo (Berne, NY).
