Montague Wildcats (Montague, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Grant Tigers (Grant, MI), 42-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Montague upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Fremont (Fremont, MI) to play the Packers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Packers come into the bout with a record of 3-6. Fremont won 29-20 in their recent non-league bout against Orchard View (Muskegon, MI)

Next up, the Tigers play the Newaygo Lions (Newaygo, MI) in a Central State bout, on Friday, January 6. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
