In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Highland Hornets basketball team scored a tight 62-59 triumph over the Hope Christian Huskies.

In their next game, the Hornets face the Albuquerque Bulldogs (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 6. Highland will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 10-2 record after their 48-46 non-league win over Valley (Albuquerque, NM).
