Virginia High School Basketball - James Monroe tipped by Maggie Walker

The Maggie Walker basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting James Monroe Yellow Jackets to 31 in the non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. Maggie Walker will meet a Dragons team coming off a 44-21 non-league loss to Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA). The Dragons record now stands at 0-7.

The Yellow Jackets (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Culpeper County (Culpeper, VA). The Blue Devils enter the Battlefield contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Culpeper County nudged Manassas Park (Manassas Park, VA), 81-12, in a non-league contest.
