In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) basketball squad edged the host Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL), by a margin of 51-45.
The Dragons (6-10) will now prepare for their outing against Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Rockets go into the Mid-Illini outing with a 6-10 record. In their last outing, Limestone was tipped by Metamora (Metamora, IL), 68-58, in a league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Mahomet-Seymour for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 5. Normal West will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 51-41 non-league win over Galesburg (Galesburg, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-3.
