In Wednesday's league outing, the St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals (East Providence, RI) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI), by a margin of 60-37.
The Bengals (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Patriots go into the State Championship outing with a 6-2 record. In their last outing, Portsmouth smashed Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI), 58-53, in a league outing.
The Spartans now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Barrington for a State Championship outing on Thursday, January 12.
