In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) ice hockey team nudged the visiting Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT), by a margin of 4-3.
The Green Wave now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Joel Barlow for a Southern Connecticut - DIII challenge on Wednesday, January 11. New Milford will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 4-2 league win over Housatonic/Northwestern/Wamogo (Falls Village, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 1-0.
The Wreckers (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Trumbull (Trumbull, CT). The Eagles enter the FCIAC challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Trumbull tipped Wilton (Wilton, CT), 6-1, in a league challenge.
