In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA), by a count of 64-34.
The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Palm Desert (Palm Desert, CA). The Aztecs go into the non-league outing with a 8-6 record. In their last outing, Palm Desert smashed La Quinta (La Quinta, CA), 58-37, in a league outing.
The Vaqueros now hold a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Liberty Charter for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 7. El Capitan will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 42-30 league win over Bayfront Charter (Chula Vista, CA). The Lions record now stands at 1-4.
