Florida High School Basketball - Lake Weir ripped by Vanguard

The Vanguard Knights basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Lake Weir Hurricanes to 30 in the Knights non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Knights now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forest for a contest on Friday, January 6. Vanguard will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 61-49 non-league loss to Palatka (Palatka, FL). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-3.

The Hurricanes (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Crystal River (Crystal River, FL). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Crystal River was routed by Hernando (Brooksville, FL), 73-59, in a league contest.
