Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC) and the host Princeton Bulldogs (Princeton, NC), saw Smithfield-Selma's basketball squad knock off Princeton by a count of 54-38.
With the victory, Smithfield-Selma upgrades its record to 1-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host West Johnston (Benson, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. West Johnston lost 58-18 in their recent non-league challenge against East Wake (Wendell, NC)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 6. Princeton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
