South Dakota High School Basketball - Avon can't hold off Ethan

The Ethan Rustlers basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Avon Pirates to 56 in the Rustlers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Rustlers now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wessington Springs for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Ethan will battle a Spartans team coming off a 67-27 non-league win over Jones County (Murdo, SD). The Spartans record now stands at 4-1.
The Pirates (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD). The enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Freeman Academy/Marion was nudged by Parkston (Parkston, SD), 70-50, in a non-league contest.
