The Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) basketball nipped the visiting Waynflete Flyers (Portland, ME), 46-41 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Capers (1-6) will now prepare for their test against Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME). The Falcons go into the B South test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Mountain Valley got by Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME), 63-46, in a non-league test.
The Flyers now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Old Orchard Beach for a C South test on Saturday, January 6. Waynflete will encounter a Seagulls squad coming off a 61-51 non-league win over Wells (Wells, ME). The Seagulls record now stands at 4-2.
