    In Thursday's non-league match, the host Pueblo County Hornets basketball team scored a tight 53-51 triumph over the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans.

    In their next game, the Hornets face the Skyview Wolverines (Thornton, CO) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 5. Pueblo County will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Wolverines enter the match with a 3-8 record after their 51-27 non-league loss to Sierra (Colorado Springs, CO).

    With the defeat, Fountain-Fort Carson moves to 5-5 on the year. The Trojans travel to Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO) to face the Devils in a non-league match on Friday, January 5. The Devils enter the match with a record of 4-5. Eagle Valley lost 65-37 in their recent non-league match against Pueblo Central (Pueblo, CO)
