The Freeport Falcons basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Westbrook Blue Blazes to 42 in the Falcons league victory on Thursday.

The Falcons now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Ararat for a A South contest on Saturday, January 6. Freeport will battle a Eagles team coming off a 51-29 league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 3-4.

The Blue Blazes (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Massabesic (Waterboro, ME). The Mustangs come into the A South contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Massabesic dropped by Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME), 82-43, in a league contest.
