The Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Haverford Fords to 38 in the Fightin' Tigers league triumph on Thursday.
The Fightin' Tigers now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lower Merion for a Central contest on Saturday, January 6. Marple Newtown will battle a Aces team coming off a 59-43 league win over Springfield (Springfield, PA). The Aces record now stands at 11-1.
The Fords (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Penncrest (Media, PA). The Lions enter the Central contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Penncrest ran past Ridley (Folsom, PA), 40-37, in a league contest.
