The Palmyra Panthers ran past the host Keokuk Chiefs basketball team by a final score of 47-36 in Thursday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Panthers face the Canton Tigers (Canton, MO) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 6. Palmyra will attempt to move on its 11-1 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 9-3 record after their 47-46 non-league win over Kirksville (Kirksville, MO).
With the defeat, Keokuk drops to 9-2 on the season. The Chiefs host Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA) to encounter the Bloodhounds in a Southeast test on Tuesday, January 9. The Bloodhounds go into the test with a record of 4-5. Fort Madison won 63-55 in their recent non-league test against Central Lee (Donnellson, IA)
