Kentucky High School Basketball - Knox Central trounces Red Bird

January 4, 2024: Barbourville, KY 40906

The Knox Central Panthers (Barbourville, KY) basketball crushed the visiting Red Bird Cardinals (Beverly, KY), 74-40 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Panthers (11-4) will now prepare for their test against McCreary Central (Stearns, KY). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 3-10 record. In their last test, McCreary Central was trounced by Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY), 63-52, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harlan for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 6. Red Bird will confront a Green Dragons team coming off a 75-60 non-league loss to South Laurel (London, KY). The Green Dragons record now stands at 3-9.
