The Maryville Spoofhounds basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Lafayette Fighting Irish to 51 in the Spoofhounds league triumph on Thursday.

The Spoofhounds now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Red Oak for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Maryville will meet a Tigers team coming off a 76-56 league loss to Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-6.

The Fighting Irish (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Roncalli Catholic (Omaha, NE). The Crimson Pride enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Roncalli Catholic was defeated by Skutt Catholic (Omaha, NE), 71-63, in a league contest.
