The Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE) basketball felled the host Lawton-Bronson Eagles (Lawton, IA), 56-39 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Indians (11-0) will now prepare for their test against Wakefield (Wakefield, NE). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Wakefield was beaten by Walthill (Walthill, NE), 46-42, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove for a Western Valley - North test on Friday, January 5. Lawton-Bronson will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 69-50 non-league loss to South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-7.
