In Thursday's non-league match, the host L.C. Bird Skyhawks basketball team scored a good 63-45 triumph over the Petersburg Crimson Wave.
In their next game, the Skyhawks meet the Huguenot Falcons (Richmond, VA) in a Dominion match, on Wednesday, January 10. L.C. Bird will attempt to better on its 9-0 season record.
With the defeat, Petersburg moves to 3-4 on the year. The Crimson wave travel to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) to meet the Patriots in a non-league match on Friday, January 5. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 9-3. Albemarle won 72-60 in their recent league match against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)
