Regina Regals (Iowa City, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lisbon Lions (Lisbon, IA), 61-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Regina upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Regals host Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA) to play the Golden Hawks in a River Valley bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Golden Hawks come into the bout with a record of 5-4.

Next up, the Lions play the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats (Delhi, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Lisbon will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 59-34 league win over Central City (Central City, IA).
