The Mankato West Scarlets basketball team (Mankato, MN), was nudged 71-69 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Mound-Westonka White Hawks (Mound, MN)
The White Hawks now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Orono for a AAA Section 6 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Mound-Westonka will confront a Spartans team coming off a 77-68 non-league win over Alexandria (Alexandria, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 6-3.
The Scarlets (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Worthington (Worthington, MN). The Trojans come into the AAA Section 2 battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Worthington was nudged by Western Christian (Hull, IA), 100-77, in a non-league battle.
