Prince George Royals (Prince George, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA), 50-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Prince George upgrades its record to 1-9 on the season. The Royals travel to Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA) to clash with the Monarchs in a Central bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Monarchs go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Meadowbrook lost 57-53 in their recent non-league bout against Armstrong (Richmond, VA)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Highland Springs Springers (Highland Springs, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Mechanicsville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
