New Site Royals (New Site, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS), 67-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Site upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Royals host Amory (Amory, MS) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Amory won 69-39 in their recent league bout against Ripley (Ripley, MS)

Next up, the Troopers play the Choctaw County Chargers (Ackerman, MS) in a 3A Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Mooreville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 67-59 non-league win over McAdams (McAdams, MS).
