Georgia High School Basketball - Salem trounces Pike County

The Salem Seminoles (Conyers, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), 67-37 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Seminoles (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Hephzibah (Hephzibah, GA). The Rebels go into the AAA Region 4 test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Hephzibah was trounced by Laney (Augusta, GA), 54-41, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mary Persons for a AAA Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 9. Pike County will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 47-39 non-league loss to Howard (Macon, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-12.
