In Thursday's league outing, the St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Raritan Rockets (Hazlet, NJ), by a margin of 78-37.
The Purple Roses (8-1) will now prepare for their outing against St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, NJ). The Gray Bees go into the non-league outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, St. Benedict's Prep smashed Hill School (Pottstown, PA), 66-48, in a non-league outing.
The Rockets now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they host Keyport for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 6. Raritan will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 78-52 non-league loss to Donovan Catholic (Toms River, NJ). The Raiders record now stands at 2-3.
