In Thursday's non-league outing, the Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA) basketball squad beat the visiting Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA), by a count of 53-41.

The Sabers (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Moravia (Moravia, IA). The Mohawks go into the Bluegrass outing with a 5-1 record. In their last outing, Moravia defeated Lamoni (Lamoni, IA), 73-21, in a league outing.

The Trojans now hold a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to H-L-V for a South Iowa Cedar outing on Friday, January 5. Tri-County will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 77-47 league loss to Keota (Keota, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-6.
