Covington Trojans (Covington, IN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Attica Red Ramblers (Attica, IN), 45-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Covington upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Trojans travel to Rossville (Rossville, IN) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Rossville won 78-40 in their recent league bout against Taylor (Kokomo, IN)

Next up, the Red Ramblers play the North Vermillion Falcons (Cayuga, IN) in a Wabash River bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Attica will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 39-29 league win over Riverton Parke (Montezuma, IN).
