The Canby Lancers basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles to 37 in the Lancers league triumph on Thursday.

The Lancers now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to MACCRAY for a A Section 3 contest on Monday, January 8. Canby will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 82-49 league win over Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN). The Wolverines record now stands at 9-4.

The Eagles (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Montevideo (Montevideo, MN). The Thunderhawks come into the non-league challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Montevideo was dropped by Melrose (Melrose, MN), 45-38, in a non-league challenge.
