DePaul Catholic Spartans (Wayne, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Paramus Spartans (Paramus, NJ), 29-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, DePaul Catholic upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Spartans host Wayne Hills (Wayne, NJ) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Spartans play the Ridgefield Park Scarlets (Ridgefield Park, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Paramus will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Scarlets come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 58-31 league win over Fort Lee (Fort Lee, NJ).
