The Pleasant Hope Pirates felled the visiting Halfway Cardinals basketball squad by a margin of 37-26 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Pirates (5-7) will now prepare for their outing against Stockton (Stockton, MO). The Tigers go into the Southwest outing with a 4-5 record. In their last outing, Stockton thwarted Warsaw (Warsaw, MO), 59-53, in a non-league outing.
The Cardinals now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Lockwood for a non-league outing on Monday, January 15.
