Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) and the visiting Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL), saw Hillsboro's basketball squad wallop Vandalia by a count of 64-36.
With the victory, Hillsboro upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Hiltoppers host Staunton (Staunton, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a South Central challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 15-2.
Next up, the Vandals play the Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Vandalia will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 45-41 league win over Benton (Benton, IL).
