The Howard Tigers (Howard, SD) basketball nipped the host Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels (Forestburg, SD), 55-51 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Tigers (7-3) will now prepare for their test against DeSmet (DeSmet, SD). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, DeSmet was tipped by Arlington (Arlington, SD), 65-23, in a league test.
The Rebels now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Kimball/White Lake for a A Region 5 test on Tuesday, January 9. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket will encounter a Wildkats squad coming off a 56-21 non-league win over Colome (Colome, SD). The Wildkats record now stands at 5-3.
