In Thursday's non-league outing, the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, NE) basketball squad edged the visiting Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines (Wilber, NE), by a margin of 40-35.
The Thunderbirds (7-5) will now prepare for their outing against Sacred Heart (Falls City, NE). The Irish go into the non-league outing with a 10-2 record. In their last outing, Sacred Heart held off Diller-Odell (Odell, NE), 50-32, in a non-league outing.
The Wolverines now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Southern for a C2 District 2 outing on Saturday, January 6. Wilber-Clatonia will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 59-37 non-league loss to Exeter-Milligan/Friend (Exeter, NE). The Raiders record now stands at 0-10.
