Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL), 74-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Taylorville upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Paris (Paris, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 13-6. Paris won 52-23 in their recent non-league bout against Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN)

Next up, the Generals play the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. MacArthur will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Cyclones come into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 56-46 league win over Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL).
