McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Riverdale Cowboys (Riverdale, CA), 47-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, McLane upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Minarets (O'Neals, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 2-3. Minarets won 29-17 in their recent non-league bout against Laton (Laton, CA)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Tranquillity Tigers (Tranquillity, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Riverdale will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 51-10 non-league loss to Fresno Christian (Fresno, CA).
