In Thursday's non-league outing, the St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting Northshore Panthers (Slidell, LA), by a count of 49-42.
The Cougars (8-9) will now prepare for their outing against Amite (Amite, LA). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 16-3 record. In their last outing, Amite held off Church Point (Church Point, LA), 63-41, in a non-league outing.
The Panthers now hold a 16-6 record. They play next when they travel to Church Point for a non-league outing on Friday, January 5. Northshore will clash with a Bears squad coming off a 63-41 non-league loss to Amite (Amite, LA). The Bears record now stands at 12-5.
