West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Osakis Silverstreaks (Osakis, MN), 54-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Central Area upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Knights travel to Minnewaska Area (Glenwood, MN) to play the Lakers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Minnewaska Area won 49-41 in their recent non-league game against Southwest Christian (Chaska, MN)

With the defeat, Osakis moves to 3-5 on the year. The Silverstreaks travel to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (Long Prairie, MN) to face the Thunder in a non-league game on Friday, January 5. The Thunder enter the game with a record of 3-6. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle won 38-31 in their recent league game against Maple Lake (Maple Lake, MN)
