Vermont High School Basketball - Poultney topped by Rivendell Academy

The Rivendell Academy basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the host Poultney Blue Devils to 32 in the non-league victory on Thursday.

The now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Long Trail for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Rivendell Academy will battle a team coming off a 39-29 non-league win over Bellows Falls (Bellows Falls, VT). The record now stands at 5-0.

The Blue Devils (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Rutland, VT). The Green Wave come into the Marble Valley - C contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Mt. St. Joseph Academy prevailed over Green Mountain (Chester, VT), 26-20, in a non-league contest.
