Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Schlarman Hilltoppers (Danville, IL), 70-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Watseka upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Warriors host Clifton Central (Clifton, IL) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 9-10. Clifton Central won 33-22 in their recent league bout against Grant Park (Grant Park, IL)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL) in a Vermilion Valley bout, on Monday, January 8. Schlarman will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
