The Somerville Pioneers (Somerville, NJ) basketball crushed the visiting The Pingry School Big Blue (Martinsville, NJ), 59-37 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Pioneers (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Manville (Manville, NJ). The Mustangs go into the Skyland - Mountain test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, Manville was trounced by Highland Park (Highland Park, NJ), 45-39, in a non-league test.

The Big Blue now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bernards for a Skyland - Valley match on Thursday, January 4. The Pingry School will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 43-26 non-league win over Brearley (Kenilworth, NJ). The Mountaineers record now stands at 6-2.
